Since I first started working on this subject, one winter has passed, one Easter has come and gone, for one short summer I lived between mountains, and now Christmas is coming again. Sometimes we don’t anticipate what ‘short term’ and ‘long term’ mean. And perhaps we also don’t anticipate how difficult it is and how long it takes to reinterpret ossified structures, even in the presence of good intentions.

De când am început să lucrez la acest reportaj a trecut o iarnă, a trecut un Paște, am trăit o vară scurtă între munți și vine iarăși Crăciunul. Câteodată nu anticipăm ce mai exact înseamnă ”pe termen scurt” sau ”pe termen lung”. Și poate nu anticipăm nici cât de dificil este și cât de mult durează să reinterpretăm niște structuri împietrite, chiar și atunci când există intenții bune.
250 de oameni au rămas fără case, după un incendiu într-o comunitate de romi din Miercurea Ciuc. Au fost adăpostiți în săli de sport.
